One act of Kindness can change someone’s life.
What is the 31-Day Kindness Campaign?
The Kindness Campaign is a virtual journey together to tap into the healing power of kindness, first with yourself and then spreading that ripple out to others in your lives and communities.
It is free to join, as it is our way of paying forward the kindness, acceptance, and support shown to us at times when we felt lonely and like we didn’t matter.
By saying yes to joining us, you will receive a daily email. Each email will contain a small message about kindness, how it affects the well-being of the giver and the receiver, and a simple act of kindness you can choose to do that day. We used the word “choose” because we don’t want this journey to cause any stress in your life. We understand that there will be days you aren’t able to participate in today’s act of kindness. We recommend following your heart in this – and doing what you can when you can. Even one small act can launch a ripple of pay-it-forward kindness acts in the world.
Why Kindness Matters
We have faced many changes and challenges over the last several years. In times like these, our fight or flight mode is activated: we stress more, lose sight of our purpose, and/or experience anxiety, depressive, or suicidal thoughts more strongly – all things that are on the rise in our world.
We have learned more about the word “resilience” than any other time in history. People want to build it to better face the days ahead. However, most of us don’t know where to begin that journey. Like many things, we make building resilience more complicated than it needs to be.
The first line of defense is giving ourselves more self-compassion in what we’re going through – and self-compassion is born from kindness. When we show ourselves kindness, we are far more likely to be kind to others around us. The biggest hurdle about it? We have fallen out of touch with how to be kind to ourselves and to others – and we need to revive the practice. In fact, our entire well-being depends on it.
Researchers at U.C. Berkely found that people who were kind tended to have higher self-esteem, a greater sense of self-efficacy, less depression, less anxiety, and improved physical health. Overall, scientists learned that people who were kind or regularly engaged in informal acts of kindness tended to have higher well-being. In other words, when we are well (spirit, mind, and body), we are better equipped to face our obstacles with strength, clarity, and calmness.

Take the Kindness Campaign to the next level for your company with a 60-minute Kindness Keynote
This unique opportunity combines an initial message about kindness combine with interviews with your company leaders.
In the opening keynote, Dr. Robin shares what researchers are finding about the power of kindness regarding our well-being, in addition to some memorable stories about kindness in history and how one small act is often enough to change our world.
This is followed by 15 minute interviews with three of your leaders or team members. Dr. Robin artfully guides your selected team members through a series of questions, showcasing the direct ways kindness has influenced their lives and what they hope to create in the company through the Kindness Campaign.
Our team professionally renders the parts into a 60-minute video that you can stream to your entire organization at the day and time of your choosing with a simple URL. You also receive a copy of this file to post the video to your internal channels for repeat showings.
Additionally, the three interviews can be put into a publicly shared Small Changes Big Shifts podcast, providing an opportunity to highlight your company and its commitment to kindness, community and the other values that you bring forward.
This unique program can be used at the beginning, the middle or the end of your company’s participation in the 31-day Kindness Campaign and is a way to increase positive exposure around the company culture, mission, and values – both internally and externally.
The number one benefit we hear from companies who offer this program is that the human connection increases when their employees hear their leaders talk and they get a look into who they are as a person. Especially during this time of increased remote work when people experience greater disconnection, the human factor and expressing compassion is paramount. Associating faces and stories to leaders and companies builds trust, loyalty, and relationship.
If you are interested in scheduling the Kindness Keynote and leadership/team interviews, please email us to set up a time we can talk about details, including pricing for the event.
