SCBS collects certain information from and about its users five ways: using Google Analytics, cookies, and the user, including in response to surveys or questionnaires and content voluntarily shared through comments on the course and membership forum areas.

Google Analytics

SCBS uses features of Google Analytics. Google Analytics does not store any visitor specific data and we will not use visitor specific data in any way related to Google Analytics. We use this information to better understand our users and do not at this time use any targeted advertising. Statistics such as IP Address, pages visited, demographics, location and other basic user information is reported for us to better make informed decisions about how to make our site more relevant and easy to navigate for our users. Google offers an opt-out installation that works with your browser if you do not want your data reported through Google Analytics: and we encourage anyone using our site to opt out if they are so inclined. Be aware however, that if you block cookies that are in use to make this website function, you may experience purchase issues.

Use of Cookies

SCBS may use cookies to personalize or enhance your user experience. A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your hard disk by a Web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a Web Server in the domain that issued the cookie to you.

One of the primary purposes of cookies is to provide a convenience feature to save you time. For example, if you personalize a web page, or navigate within a site, a cookie helps the site to recall your specific information on subsequent visits. Hence, this simplifies the process of delivering relevant content and eases site navigation by providing and saving your preferences and login information as well as providing personalized functionality.

SCBS reserves the right to share aggregated site statistics with partner companies, but does not allow other companies to place cookies on our website unless there is a temporary, overriding customer value.

You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. We use a tool that allows you to select how you want to handle cookies when you visit our website. You will select your option at whichever page you first visit. The selection will carry over to all pages and into the future until you change it. Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies. If you reject cookies by changing your browser settings then be aware that this may disable some of the functionality on our Website.
